Mild steel is a type of medium carbon steel. It has unparalleled machinability and weldability, which has led to an exponential increase in its usage. This mild steel is used in Automobiles, Furniture, Structural steel, Signs, Decorations, Wire, Fencing, and Nails. Less carbon implies that mild steel is usually more ductile, machinable, and weldable than high carbon and other steels, but it also implies that heating and quenching can be almost difficult to harden and reinforce.
